Brad Hatcher started training in Ju-jitsu and Judo in 1989 under Robert Stines. After meeting Rickson Gracie in 1993, he Started training in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. He trained under Rickson for 10 yrs and was among the first group of representatives in the Rickson Gracie American Jiu-Jitsu Assoc.He has ran a Academy in Maryville, TN since 1989 teaching Karate and Ju-Jitsu and adding Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in 1995 after getting his Blue belt under Rickson. Mr. Hatcher has held a 2 Grappling tournaments in the Maryville area since 1996. 

Mr. Hatcher took over as director in 2006 after Luiz Palhares and Helio Soneca moved out of state. He was the first American promoted to Black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in the State of Tennessee in Jan. 2003. Mr Hatcher is a 4th degree black belt , he is the 2006 Pan Am black belt champion and medaled in many other events over the years past.
